Timber Framing Workshop: Building without nails
PORT ANGELES, WA
A 6-day introduction to timber framing taught by Jenna Pollard, Benito Steen and Arjuna “Oso” Steen. Co-hosted by Canelo Project and Olympic Outpost in Port Angeles, Washington.
You will learn the art of laying out a timber frame structure, cutting mortise and tenons both by hand and power tools, plus a peek in to lumber selection and milling. You will gain a good understanding of tools and how to maintain them. No timberframing experience required: This course is accessible from beginners with little experience, to builders who want to learn the craft of timber framing.
Logistics:
Workshop and timberframe build on-site at Olympic Outpost, located by Lincoln Park in Port Angeles, Washington.
Full day program from 9am-5pm each day. Coffee, tea and lunch included and served on site.

Basic camping available on site. Lots of hotels and vacation rentals available all over town.
Workshop Fee: $1,100 per person
A 50% deposit is due at time of registration to secure your spot in the workshop. Remaining balance is due by Sept 1, 2023.
